A report by gizchina.com seems to hint that last year’s Samsung Galaxy S20 series may have been discontinued and it will not be available for purchase from Samsung’s official stores. While much is known in regards to the exact reason why Samsung discontinued the S20 series, we have good reason to suspect that it was done to encourage customers to purchase the Galaxy S21 series instead.

Based on a statement by yeux1122 on the user’s blog, it seems that next year’s Samsung Galaxy S21 series could be much cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S20 series launched this year. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, we do know that it will most likely be unveiled worldwide somewhere around Q1 2021.

It's also worth mentioning that the camera setup for the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G is vastly different from its Ultra counterpart. The Galaxy Note20 Ultra uses a 108MP quad rear camera setup, whereas the former has a 12MP (main) + 8MP (telephoto) + 12MP (ultrawide) triple rear camera setup. But is it inferior because of the lower megapixel count? Based on a statement by @UniverseIce on the user’s Twitter account, it seems that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, which is due to be unveiled somewhere around the end of this year or early next year, will most likely feature minor improvements compared to the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
